Wheel Stripping
A clean surface. The foundation of a superior finish.
Over time, existing wheel coatings can become faded, chipped, peeling, or damaged. Wheel
stripping removes old paint, powder coating, and unsuitable surface finishes to prepare the
wheel for restoration or recoating.
At Alloy Wheel Bahrain, we focus on appropriate stripping methods to remove unwanted coatings while
preserving the integrity of the underlying wheel material.
Our wheel stripping service includes:
- Old coating removal: Removing existing paint and powder coating using
suitable stripping methods.
- Surface cleaning: Removing residual coating and contaminants to prepare
the wheel for further processing.
- Preparation for recoating: Creating a suitable foundation for new powder
coating, painting, or other compatible finishes.
- Inspection after stripping: Checking the exposed surface for visible
corrosion, damage, and imperfections that may need additional treatment.
- Refinishing preparation: Preparing suitable wheels for the next stage of
restoration and finishing.
Why is wheel stripping important?
Applying a new coating over damaged, peeling, or incompatible old finishes can compromise the
final result. Proper stripping provides a clean starting point, supports coating adhesion when
combined with correct surface preparation, and helps achieve a consistent, professional
finish.
The Alloy Wheel Bahrain difference: A quality finish starts long before the new colour
is applied. Proper coating removal and surface preparation help lay the groundwork for a
refined, durable result.
Note: The stripping method is selected according
to the wheel material and existing coating to avoid unnecessary damage to the substrate.
